Delta Dental Associate Diversity Council Event: Lunar New Year - Chinese New Year
It will fall on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, starting a year of the Dragon. Lunar New Year is the first new moon of a lunar calendar or lunisolar calendar year, whose months are moon cycles. The event is celebrated by numerous cultures in various ways on diverse dates.

What is the mission of Impact100?
Impact100 unites women across the globe to fund solutions to the most pressing problems facing humanity. We believe in the collaboration and empowerment of diverse women to ignite transformational change in their communities.

What are the categories for Impact100?
Each Impact100 chapter gathers women from across their community to pool their giving into transformational grants that fund local nonprofits across five, broad Focus Areas: Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Preservation & Recreation, Family and Health & Wellness.

Diversity Council Event: World Mental Health Day
World Mental Health Day October 10. The 2024 theme is Anxiety. This may also be in partnership with Health and Wellness.

World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma. It was first celebrated in 1992 at the initiative of the World Federation for Mental Health, a global mental health organization with members and contacts in more than 150 countries.

Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur is the holiest day of the year—the day on which we are closest to G‑d and to the quintessence of our own souls. It is the Day of Atonement—“For on this day He will forgive you, to purify you, that you be cleansed from all your sins before G‑d” (Leviticus 16:30).

Diversity Council Event: Kwanza – What is it and how did it come about?
Kwanzaa is an annual celebration of African-American culture from December 26 to January 1, culminating in a communal feast called Karamu, usually on the sixth day and is based on African harvest festival traditions from various parts of West and Southeast Africa.
